The preliminary investigation shows the man may have fallen asleep after crawling underneath the trailer of a parked semi-truck. When the driver of the truck returned and started the vehicle, the man underneath was run over by the rear wheels of the trailer as the truck pulled forward.
Although Wyoming does not require boating education for boat operators, Aaron Kerr, Wyoming Game and Fish Department law enforcement coordinator, said it is recommended all boaters take a boater safety course that is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators.
Wyoming News Now observed the truck was damaged on the driver’s side, near the rear tire. The crash landed the police car facing oncoming traffic on Lincolnway, while the truck rolled and landed on the side of Ridge Road upside down.
The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of the stolen vehicle, driving while under the influence, fleeing to elude, reckless driving, speed, and other traffic-related offenses. The passenger was also arrested for interference with a peace officer, a warrant for failing to pay child support and possession of a controlled substance.

The Lions Park has a new feature, thanks to the U.S. Navy Week that is visiting Cheyenne from July 26 until Aug. 1st. It is the U.S.S Nimitz, which is a virtual reality Navy simulator on top of an 18 wheeler truck. The experience is open to the public and comes set with virtual goggles, headphones and vests to immerse folks in the Navy mission experience.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department reports high water temperatures at Yesness Pond in Casper, resulting in some trout mortality. However, other fish in Yesness, such as green sunfish and channel catfish, are not bothered by the warm water temperatures.
