CHEYENNE, Wyo.- Amy Surdam, Executive Director for the Downtown Development Authority, is running for mayor of Cheyenne.
Surdam recently stepped into her role at the DDA and has played a very active role in working towards a Children's Museum in Cheyenne. In 2002 Surdam was sworn into the Wyoming Army National Guard as a 2nd LT. She completed her Master's Degree in Nursing in May of 2004 and has served as a Nurse Practitioner for the WYARNG since that time. She is currently serving in the Joint Forces Headquarters as the Occupational Medical Provider for the State and also serves on the Adjutant General's Advisory Council.
Surdam made the announcement surrounded by friends and family.
The primary election is slated for Aug. 16 and the general election is set for Nov. 8.
