CHEYENNE, Wyo.- A truck driver from Lincoln, Nebraska on his way to Oregon for work has been stuck in Wyoming for most of the day.
Jeff Spaulding stayed in Cheyenne overnight. Leaving Cheyenne he says he was driving in the snowy and winter weather conditions until he got to Laramie. Around 7:30 Wednesday morning he couldn't go any further due to road closures.
Spaulding says there were about 20 or 30 cars stuck on the Interstate where he was. Spaulding says the skies were clear and roads were dry, and it didn't make sense the roads were closed.
Conditions across the region caused several rollovers and accidents during the day. Most of I-80 from Cheyenne to Evanston was closed due to winter and windy conditions. State law does allow for a fine and/or jail time for failure to comply.
