Video: Wyoming Fall Sports Media Day, head coaches share what fans should expect this season

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The University of Wyoming had the fall sports media day on Friday, August 2nd. The fall sports are cross country, women's soccer, volleyball and football.

Starting with Cowboys football, the home opener will be on Saturday, August 31st vs. Missouri at 5:30pm. Wyoming athletics is encouraging fans to buy season tickets. The 8,000 and 8,500 person to buy season tickets will get a VIP experience at the home game on September 14th vs. Idaho. The VIP experience includes: pre-game, sideline passes, private tour of the high altitude performance center and adidas gear.

Wyoming's cross country team will be having a meet at Little America in Cheyenne on September 6th. This will be a smaller meet and is spectator friendly so fans can get around the course.

The Cowgirls soccer team made history last season tying for the mountain west conference title. The team will be hosting Baylor at home this season on Friday, September 6th and Baylor is always a top team in the country. On Thursday, September 19th the Cowgirls soccer team will be playing in Gillette vs. South Dakota at Thunder Basin high school at 7pm and three of the players graduated from there.

The Cowgirls Volleyball team will have a tough non-conference schedule this season. They play tough teams so they can better their chances of making it to the NCAA tournament. The Volleyball team will be in Cheyenne on August 24th hosting a kids clinic and having an exhibition game at East high school. Any kid who attends the clinic will get a free ticket to the game.
