Valladay's 295 all-purpose yards help Wyoming to win the Arizona Bowl against Georgia State, 38-17

TUCSON, Ariz. (Wyoming News Now)- The Wyoming Cowboys ended 2019 with a bowl win as they defeated Georgia State, 38-17 in the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl.

Sophomore running back, Xazavian Valladay, was one of the keys to the Cowboys success, recording 295 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. He rushed 26 times for 204 yards, and a touchdown, adding three receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown, winning offensive MVP. True freshman quarterback, Levi Williams, made his first career start where he threw 11-26, 234 yards, three touchdowns, an interception. He ran 12 times for 53 yards and a touchdown.

Senior safety, Alijah Halliburton, won defensive MVP for the Cowboys, recording 11 tackles (9 solo), an interception with a return of 23 yards to put the Pokes in good field position. Senior Linebacker, Logan Wilson, made seven tackles, which would be 421 tackles in his career. Senior kicker, Cooper Rothe, went 1-2 in field goals, making a career-long of 53 yards.

Wyoming finishes the season 8-5, tying the most wins in a season under the Craig Bohl era.
