Two tennis players represented Wyoming at the World Team Tennis Junior Nationals in San Diego

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- Kelsey Hardsocg who just graduated from Central high school and Brendan Lock who will be a senior at South high school just got back from playing in the World Team Tennis Junior Nationals hosted by the legendary Billie Jean King. This is Kelsey's second year making the team and Brendan's first time making it. There was 16 teams that played and Team Intermountain, the team that Kelsey and Brendan played on came in 4th place. This was Josh Cossitt's fifth year coaching this team and he said ""you cant even stimulate what we have in are high school teams here when you get into a college type format where the players get on the court in the matches cheering involved no one sits down for the 3 hours you compete everyone's on their feet everyone's chanting and cheering everyone's getting into it."

Kelsey was very impressed with how the team looked this year and said "just being in that environment with the yelling and the college atmosphere so i think that was my favorite part was just how close all the teams became it was just super competitive usually tennis has a more quiet mindset no it wasn't like that it was screaming after every point."

Both of them really enjoyed the college atmosphere at this tournament. Brendan explains "the team was just pumping each other up the whole time and you know while your playing your pumping the rest of your team up, getting to see what it takes to actually become a professional just watching those players play."
