TORRINGTON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- Brittney Lopez is going to Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado to play softball. She went to visit the college in February and decided to sign with the team after her visit. "First they saw hitting video so they wanted to see more of that and then they asked for more things I can do in the field and stuff like that and when I went to that visit they had me try a little bit of everything" said Brittney Lopez.
Brittney plays for the 18U Cheyenne Extreme fast pitch softball team. Last season, she wasn't able to play much because of an ACL injury and she is now fully recovered. During this pandemic, she has been practicing at the fields in Torrington because they have remained open.
This is her second season playing for Cheyenne Extreme and the team just started practicing last week to prepare for this season.
