The Casper College men's basketball team will play their first conference game of the season on Jan. 8.

They will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. in Riverton to Central Wyoming. The Thunderbirds are currently 13-2 on the year and this week in the NJCAA rankings they are ranked 19.

"Thirteen and two was not what we were reaching for, we were reaching for 15-0, so it is a humbling experience. I feel like we are going to give every team our best shot, instead of taking every team lightly," said Sophomore Guard Isaiah Banks.

This later half of the season they are really focusing on getting to where they got to last year, a Region IX championship.

"We did a little research and film on the opponents in our conference and we realized everyone is very real, and everyone is well coached, and everyone is pretty good, so we have to give everyone our best efforts, and that is why we chose to intensive practice a little bit," said Banks.
