CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- McKenzie Boltz will be graduating from Central high school this month and is headed to the University of Wyoming in the fall. She has played for the Cheyenne Extreme softball team for 10 years, played high school basketball and did track her freshmen year. "Definitely like the team aspect I'm in it for the girls and obviously the game and just the friendly competition I'm so competitive so I'll miss that" said McKenzie Boltz.
When McKenzie isn't playing sports she is volunteering. She earned the Gold Congressional Award for her volunteer work. She is graduating with a 3.9 GPA which earned her a membership in the National Honor Society.
The Cheyenne Extreme 18U Head Coach described McKenzie as a hard worker. "I wish I could have had her a few extra years this is her second year with me, she brings some leadership to the team, shes gonna be missed" said Adam Galicia.
She will be studying Biology/Pre-Dental and plans to become an Orthodontist.
