TORRINGTON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- Brittney Lopez will be graduating from Torrington high school and plays softball for Cheyenne Extreme. This is her second year playing with the Extreme. "I'm gonna miss the relationships I have like will all stay in tact but it will be different not competing with them anymore" said Brittney Lopez.
Before playing for the Cheyenne Extreme, Brittney played softball for the Torrington Twisters. She was injured last season and is excited to be able to play this season. "She knocks the leather off the ball I mean this year she is coming in and growing a little bit, she is pretty much 100 percent recovered from her injury so were expecting big things from her as she moves on to the next level" said Head Coach, Adam Galicia.
She will be continuing her softball career playing for Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. She plans to major in Physical Therapy.
