Special Olympics Wyoming opening ceremonies

CASPER, Wyo. The Special Olympics Wyoming Fall Tournament is happening in Casper from Oct. 9 through the 11.

The opening ceremonies for the tournament happened on Wednesday, October 9 in the Natrona County High School Gym. Each team walked into the gym holding a sign from the cities in Wyoming they were representing. Players from the Natrona County football team helped escort the athletes. Senator John Barrasso and Mayor Charles Powell spoke at the ceremonies. The ceremonies also had live music, dancing and of course, lighting of the torch.
