CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- South High School girls varsity basketball team hosted their annual youth camp. Participants included boys and girls, ranging from 3rd-8th grade. The Lady Bison worked with the campers on drills, such as free throws, dribbling, shooting, etc.
"It just gives them confidence that not a lot of kids have nowadays," senior guard Angeline Liggett said.
The campers also got to play fun games, such as knockout.
"They [the campers] get that sense of 'want' here. It just builds a better bond for all of us."
Some of the campers say there favorite part about the camp was not only improving their skills, but meeting new people and competing against them.
"It's just something I love and it just makes me never want to quit," 5th grader Maleea Cruz said.
