Cheyenne, Wyo.- At the beginning of the year, South freshman Jesse Quist won MLB's Jackie Robinson Breaking Barriers Essay Contest.
Along with a school visit from Jackie's daughter, Sharon Robinson, he won tickets to the 2018 World Series.
Quist was recognized during the pregame ceremony prior to Game 2 of the World Series between the Red Sox and Dodgers.
The sophomore also went into the Red Sox dugout and met Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr.
Quist was born without arms and has had to overcome many obstacles in his life because of it. He wrote about his experience in his essay and he was chosen out of thousands of applicants.
