CASPER, Wyo. More NHL talent has been brought to Casper this week.
Former player Mark Popovic, is now teaching the youth through hockey camps. This is his 4th time coming to Casper.
"I think it's super important to not only provide the big cities with the high level skills but all these little gems, these little hockey communities where the kids are so invested and the parents love it, I love coming up here," said Popovic.
There was a wide range of athletes participating with different ages and skill levels. The camp taught skills that can be used on and off the ice.
Popovic said a big part of what he does is on the leadership side, so they talk about core values and who they are as a person.
"As a former player that's kind of my favorite part, as a coach and mentor for these young people to help them grow their self confidence and learn about themselves and develop those things," said Popovic.
