Pokes wrap up their spring game as Gold defeats Brown 14-9

LARAMIE, Wyo. (KGWN)- The University of Wyoming football team concluded spring ball with their annual spring game, where the Gold team defeated the Brown team 14-9. The Gold team was led by redshirt freshman quarterback, Sean Chambers, who threw 9-16, 139 yards, and a touchdown.

"We're feeling good, we're feeling ready," Chambers says.

Senior wide receiver, C.J. Johnson caught a 19-yard TD pass from Chambers. He finished the day with two receptions for 47 yards, and junior running back, Jeff Burroughs ran for a touchdown.

For the Brown team, Tyler Van der Waal completed 12 of 25 passes, for 122 yards, and redshirt freshman running back, Austin Clemetson, ran for a touchdown.

"I think we're going to be a lot stronger than we were last year," Junior right guard, Logan Harris said.

The Cowboys get ready for summer ball, and their season opener against Missouri which is on August 31, 2019 at War Memorial Stadium.
