CASPER, Wyo. While summer is ending, fall sports are just beginning. After a long off season of camps and early morning workouts, high school football teams were ready to take the field.
"We had a great summer of lifting, we had a bunch of guys come out there and get stronger, faster, everyone's looking forward to the season," said quarterback for the Mustangs Ryan Sorenson.
And while they can't practice with pads quite yet, it still feels good to be back.
"It's so exciting to get this first practice you know, out of the way and move onto the rest of the season," said Sorenson.
Especially coming off a state championship win from last year.
"Now we know what it takes to get there and win it and so we got to keep putting the pieces together and find what's good for us and keep going." said Sorenson.
The Mustangs play their first game at home against Cheyenne South on Friday, August 30 with a start time of 7pm.
