NC Fillies defeat the Trojans on last second buzzer beater

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) Kelly Walsh and Natrona County met for the second time this season; this time at Kelly Walsh, and for the Peach Basket.

A close game the entire time. At the half, the Trojans led by two points and going into the 4th quarter they would lead by one. The Fillies then get the ball with less than five seconds left in the game and they are down by one. Sophomore Emma Patik passes it to sophomore Katelynn Campbell, who has no choice but to shoot beyond the arc and she nails it. Campbell is in shock she got the game winner. The Fillies go onto win 45 to 44 and get the Peach Basket this year.

"I am confident in my technique and whenever I get that shot, I take it, because coach always says shoot with confidence, and shoot with those open shots and he tells that to ever player on the court," said Campbell.

"Katelynn earned that, because she is the first one in the gym, she comes in the morning, she came today and said hey, can I come shoot during class, can I come shoot during lunch," said head coach Brian Costello. "So she has earned that, there is no one I rather have taking that shot because she has put the time in so we are super proud of her and happy that she is a Filly."
