LARAMIE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The Laramie boys swim & dive team defended their title, winning the 4A State Championship for the third consecutive year in a row.
Laramie's boys swim & dive team three-peats as state champions.
"I couldn't be happier," Laramie head coach, Tom Hudson said. "It's hard to win one, and to win three, it's just a great accomplishment by all these guys."
The Plainsmen finished with a team total of 255.5 points. Laramie senior swimmer, Max DeYoung, set a state record in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 49.16 seconds.
"I had to see what I had this year and I'm glad we got the win," DeYoung said.
Cheyenne Central earned second place with a team total of 239 points. This was the last meet for Indians head coach Mark Miller's last meet.
"It's time for somebody else to take the reigns and take the program," Miller said.
