CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) The Casper College women's basketball team returns to the court for the first time in 2020, since last playing on December 14th.
"We went on break on a loss so that wasn't fun for any of us, but yeah coach had us work out four times a week on our own, we had to stay in shape," said freshman guard Aspen Cotter. "So when we come back we are in shape, and then shooting on our own and stuff, that was on us, and we all came back in pretty good shape, we've gotten in better shape, since we came back day one."
The women are ranked 18th in the NJCAA rankings. They are 13-2 on the year and 8-1 in conference play. The Lady T-birds will open the new year with another conference game against Central Wyoming on January 8.
"So the first half is a lot longer, but the second half is for sure a grind. I mean we only have two and a half months left, that is not very long, but we set short term goals a couple days ago for game by game to reach our big goals which is going to the national tournament," said Cotter.
