CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- A senior that attends South high school, Brendan Lock has brought home a boys tennis individual state championship three times. Brendan won state his sophomore, junior and senior year. The last time he lost a tennis match was at state his freshmen season.

"I mean I was really confident going into this season but by the time the state tournament got around I looked in the draw and I thought my semi-final match was definitely the one that was going to be the toughest one" said Lock.

Brendan played Kyle Moore from Laramie for the boys number one singles state title this year and he had already played Moore four times this season.

"I knew he was gonna have a different game plan against me but he didn't play the way I thought he would I thought he was gonna have a bigger serve and come in and take over the net but I was able to shut it down quick" said Lock.

Brendan led the South boys tennis team to bringing home third place at state this year, and bringing home a team trophy was something he had wanted to do since he was a freshmen.

Brendan will still be playing in tennis matches throughout the year and his college decision is still to be determined.
