Gymnasts from Cheyenne gymnastics are finding ways to practice at home
Every year the youth gymnasts get to compete at the State championships but this year they don't get to do that. Cheyenne gymnastics had 30 girls going to state which is 100 percent of their team. With state being canceled, the girls are finding ways to practice at home. "We've been doing our own workouts at home, she has some gymnastics equipment like a balance beam, a bar set and some mats. It takes so long to be able to accomplish these things, you could lose your splits in three weeks" said Danielle Gill, mother of an 8 year old gymnast.
The gymnasts are usually in the gym four times a week and for several hours. With practice canceled for right now, the Cheyenne Gymnastics Parent Booster Club has been posting workouts that the girls can do at home. "We just hope a lot of our girls take advantage of those workouts, granted it's not the same in depth conditioning but we're hoping it's something to keep them busy" said Cheyenne Gymnastics Booster Club President, Brandi Robinson.
Cheyenne gymnastics had girls that already qualified for Regionals in May and that has been canceled.
