Erik Oliver had a school high 51 points in LCCC's basketball teams win over Northwest College Wednesday night

Laramie County Community College basketball teams hosted Northwest College on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles went into the game on a five game losing streak. Freshmen Erik Oliver had 29 points in the first half for the Golden Eagles. Oliver ended the night with a school record 51 points and led his team to a 102-90 win. Erik Oliver said his performance was dedicated to his idol Kobe Bryant. "with the death of Kobe Bryant obviously, kinda go out there and play harder everything he's done for the game when I got tired I keep pushing got the win tonight,rest of my games are gonna be for him cause like I said he's my idol he's the reason why I play without him I wouldn't be where I am" said Oliver after scoring 51 points.

The Golden Eagles will be away at Casper College on Saturday.
