Douglas Cats Fall to Casper OIlers in Home Opener

The Douglas Cats Legion Baseball team fell 16-0 to the Casper Oilers in 5 innings.

Former Cat and MLB draftee Marvin Malone (2018, Tampa Bay Rays) was in attendance to sign autographs and throw the first pitch. This home opener was the re-grand opening of Nida Field after renovations.

Malone on returning to watch the Douglas Cats:
"It's definitely a blessing to be back. It just brings back all the memories from high school growing up. Especially with Zach. He was my coach ever since I was little, so to see him still coaching and grinding it out is awesome. It's great to be back."

During the OIlers' 16-0 shutout over the Cats, Carter Young, Corbin Kirk, and Brooks Browning all hit homeruns.
