TUCSON, Ari. (Wyoming News Now)- The decision has been made that true freshman quarterback, Levi Williams, will start for Wyoming in the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl against Georgia State.
Media reports say Pokes head coach, Craig Bohl, mentioned the reason behind starting is that Williams embraces the offense. Sophomore quarterback, Tyler Vander Waal, announced that he was entering the transfer portal, via social media.
Williams appeared in two games this season, where he threw a total 8-13, 109 yards, one interception. He so far, he has 28 carries for 128 yards, and a touchdown.
Kick-off for the Arizona Bowl will be on Tuesday, December 31st, at 2:30pm MST, at Arizona Stadium, in Tucson, Arizona.
