Cheyenne Sixers split Saturday's games at Powers Field

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The Cheyenne Sixers went 1-1 on Saturday after games against Diamond Club, and the Parker Lightning. Cheyenne lost to Diamond Club, 5-3. The Sixers were up, 3-2 heading into the top of the sixth inning. Diamond Club scored three runs in the inning, leading them to the 5-3 victory over Cheyenne.

Cheyenne Post 6 Sixers third baseman, Grant Redman, hits a single in the bottom of the sixth inning in a 3-0 win against the Parker Lightning.

"When you're playing a really good baseball team they're going to make you pay for every mistake and we're a young team, we've got a lot to learn and this is a good learning moment for our club, and we'll keep moving from here, see if we can bounce back," Sixers manager, Ty Lain said after the loss.

The Sixers turned things around in their second game when Bradley Feezer helped lead Cheyenne to victory by throwing a complete game shutout against Parker, winning 3-0.

Cheyenne will have a rematch against the Lightning on Sunday, January 7 at 10:00am. The second game is against USA Prime 1 at 3:00pm. Both games will be at Powers Field.
