Cheyenne Capitals 19U hockey team had senior night for 2 players
Abagail Gallagher and Megan Weidler will forever cherish the memories they have had playing for the Cheyenne Capitals. "Grown up with this team its been my whole life and its real exciting to move on and everything but its hard to let go" said Gallagher. Abagail is the teams goalie, she played hockey as a kid and decided to try it out again her freshmen year, thats when she knew this was where she wanted to be "we've all just worked together and met so many new girls and so many more older ones and weve just grown together and its been really great" says Abagail.
Megan has been playing hockey since she was little and is the captain of the team. "My teammates are great and its been a privilege to play with them and hockey is so fun theres no reason not to do it" said Weidler. Megan and Abagail play with girls from different high schools and they have enjoyed seeing girls come and try this sport out.
"more fun than scary and a big part of it is skating go out and try to skate and if you like skating you'll probably like hockey" said Megan.
These two seniors will be missed next season but they leave this team being a state champion 2 times and with lifelong friends.
