CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) The Casper Rebels will be playing at home for the first time this season. Starting June 13 at 9 a.m., the Casper Rebels will be hosting a softball tournament for their travel teams.
"We're meshed three teams together, we still have to see how everyone does in a game like situation, it is way different than practice, but I feel like we are going to do really good and figure it out pretty quickly," said 14U softball player Olivia Smith.
This is their first tournament of the season so far. Last week the girls traveled to Wheatland for scrimmages. This year the age groups consist of 8U to 16U. The girls mentioned in practices how exciting it is to be back out on the field.
"Once I got back it was nice because I can work out on the field but then at home I can workout all I want but when you are with people it is more motivating," said 14U player Tru Nielsen. "I was definitely out of my game the first couple practices but now I am starting to gain it all back.
Games in the tournament will continue into June 14 as well.
