Casper Rebels begin practices
After a long off season, the Casper Rebels were finally able to get back out on the field for some practices.
"Yeah so it has been pretty ancy for everyone, coaches included to get out and actually have some practices and keep everyone informed and up beat abut the upcoming season," said 10u Casper Rebels Coach Kaela Bretz. "There has been teams around the state who canceled their seasons and so everyone hears that and gets kind of discouraged and we are kind of up in the air about what we are going to be able to do but we got these awesome facilitates now that we are working to get up into tip top shape to be able to hold tournaments and stuff here as well."
As far as games go they are still in the process of getting those re-scheduled.
"We are all kind of up in the air, there is a few here and there but we wanted to make sure the safety of our girls is our top priority so with out having any practices we felt last weekends games or tournament was not an appropriate one to do, so we are going to be scheduling those as far as different counties teams start to open up and we can start getting some stuffed scheduled," said Bretz.
They have five different age groups as well as rec and travel teams.
"Yeah so we coordinate with Casper Rec Center to schedule games within in our community and girls that sign up through rec center but this year we are full we got over 70 girls this year which is awesome for casper because we are growing and that is good for girls softball especially since we have been approved for a high school sport now," said Bretz.
