CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- Laramie County Community College (LCCC) men's basketball program added Roybell Baez as their new interim assistant coach. Former assistant coach, DeWayne Saulsberry, took over as the interim head coach after LCCC parted ways with Jason Ficca after finishing the season with a record of 4-25.

Baez served as an assistant coach for Western Nebraska Community College men's basketball team for the last four years. He helped the cougars win their first Region IX title in 17 years. Baez helped with recruiting while at WNCC.

"He's a winner," Saulsberry said. "He's been around a winning program at Western Nebraska. I feel like it was a good fit, he felt like it was a good fit, he signed and came on board, and it's been great so far."

Baez is expected to start with LCCC on April 27.
