The Casper Soccer Club hosted their 3rd Free Play Saturday on June 20th.

"Free play is the most basic essence of soccer, it is what they play all over the world, kids just come out, they set up the fields, they make the rules, they divide the teams, and just play no coaching from the coaches, they are there to supervise injuries, parents can cheer but no parent interference and so, it's the day when the kids just take over soccer," said Casper Soccer Club Director of Coaching Don Maples.

The CSC started their return to play on June 1. So far Maples said the feedback on Free Play Saturday has been great. They plan to continue this up until the fall season starts.

"Oh the feedback has been tremendous from the kids and the parents, they are so excited to get on the field and actually play, there is no formalized coaching, so they just get to go out and be creative, and play the game and learn just like we did in the backyard," said Maples

Anyone in the CSC can participate, however members outside may play as well they just need to sign a waiver upon arrival.
