Wyoming's Governor's Prayer Breakfast was held this morning at Little America Hotel & Resort. The event enters its seventh decade for the state of Wyoming. It serves the purpose of bringing together state officials and legislators before continuing the current legislation period.

"The purpose is higher than ourselves,” First lady of Wyoming Jennie Gordon said. “We're here to do good for our state, for our citizens and I think it's all inspired by God."

This year's guest speaker was University of Wyoming swim coach, Dave Denniston. He’s coached the swimming program since 2017. Denniston told his story and how he was paralyzed, wanting to relay the message that people must approach life with a positive attitude.

“Whatever trials, tribulations and challenges are put in front of you, everybody has the same opportunity,” Denniston said.

This is Mark and Jennie Gordon’s second governor's breakfast as governor and first lady.
