Wyoming Craft Brewers Guild to host a virtual beer festival
Wyoming Craft Brewers Guild is hosting a virtual beer festival for people to enjoy local crafted beer. There will be games, and music performances, and a chance for people to gather and communicate virtually while drinking beer. According to Executive Director of Wyoming Craft Brewers Guild, Michelle Forester, many breweries have reported up to 70-percent of a decrease in their revenue since the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Beer is really a gathering product, it brings people together from all walks of life, from all ideas, from all philosophies,” Forester said. “Even though there's a lot of things we don't agree on in this world, most of us can agree that beer is great."
The festival will be on the ‘Wyo Craft Brewers Guild’ Facebook page. It will occur on Saturday, May 9, from 1pm-4pm. There will be an after party that takes place in a private zoom room, from 4pm-5pm.
"Even though we can't physically gather together right now and enjoy beer together and enjoy ideas and enjoy each other,” Forester said. “This is an opportunity for us to gather virtually, responsibly, and still give a little love back to our craft breweries."
