CHEYENNE,Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) Friday nights at the plaza in Cheyenne Wyoming are over. However Friday night festivities continue from the Capitol City.

Freedom's Edge Brewery hosted the block party for Black Dog Animal Rescue Friday evening.

A good way to celebrate people who take care of the pets... And plan events, do laundry and serve the animals at the rescue shelter.

Black Dog Animal Rescue is responsible for finding homes for foster dogs in the area.

To show their appreciation for the volunteers who work hard for the mission, locals in the community showed support for the event.

Patrons brought the kids, and pooches to enjoy live music... food trucks... and fun.

"It shows the community that people really value and appreciate what they're doing. Even if its not glamorous, it's necessarily the most impactful thing on the community per-say," says Freedom's Edge Bartender Muriah Kilmer.

The next event held by black dog animal rescue will be tomorrow (Saturday) At 11 a-m at Cheyenne's pet-co, people can stop by meet a few of the adoptable furry friends and mingle with volunteers and learn more about opportunities to contribute to the cause.
