Tips to stay healthy this winter
Temperatures are dropping and it might seem like everyone is sick. We spoke with Amanda Vignaroli, a nurse practitioner at NERD Health and Wellness Center.
She said to scrub your hands for twenty seconds to get rid of germs and to get seven to ten hours of sleep each night.
They advise staying off electronics 2 hours before bedtime and taking a warm bath before bed.
Also, eating fruits and vegetables each day, like citrus fruits or green veggies. Getting one hundred and fifty minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity a week.
Lastly, reducing stress by taking a fifteen-minute walk during the day or doing yoga.
Vignarol said scrubbing your hands is the most important tip.
“SIng the happy birthday song while you’re washing your hand so you know that you’ve completed the full twenty to thirty seconds you should be scrubbing,” she said.
