The First Lady of Wyoming, Mrs. Jennie Gordon, launches Wyoming Hunger Initiative

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (WYOMING NEWS NOW) -- The First Lady of Wyoming, Mrs. Jennie Gordon, stopped by Wyoming News Now this morning to announce her new Wyoming Hunger Initiative.

In an effort to help eradicate hunger in Wyoming, the First Lady spent this year visiting the state and looking at resources in place. She says that she doesn't want to reinvent the wheel, but rather highlight programs to make a difference.

Mrs. Gordon says, "Wyoming Hunger Initiative will work with school districts, communities and organizations across the state to combat this challenge. I hope you join me with your time, generosity and innovative thinking. No child in Wyoming should ever go hungry. Childhood hunger is a problem that can be solved together."

This is a cause very near and dear to her heart, as both of her parents suffered from childhood hunger. In an effort to help, the First Lady of Wyoming announced a new website that was launched in conjunction with her initiative, click here. The website provides information and resources available to help support the cause.
