Thankful Thursday came up with an idea to help small businesses struggling during this pandemic. It started with them showing what the small businesses had to offer and then the community started donating money to help out. "So we have been graciously going around accepting donations from other businesses that would like to give back to businesses that are struggling right here in town" said Alf, Owner of Alf's Pub.
Corey Loghry from Lynn Buys Houses, Alf Grzegorczyk from Thankful Thursday, Jack and Jamie Floyd from Big O Tires and Luis Mendoza from Remax Capitol Properties are some of the many people that have helped put this together. With the help of sponsors, Big O Tires is having a car raffle. They are giving away a 2011 Hyundai Sante Fe and the raffle tickets are 25 dollars. All the money will be going to help small businesses.
"It's important to note that the Thankful Thursday grand prize sponsors who had donated 10,000 dollars re-directed that money from Thankful Thursday non profit to small businesses and every business that is visited during the week, anybody that goes and spends 5 dollars is eligible for a 200 dollar cash drawing" said Corey Loghry from Lynn Buys Houses.
They have had 170 businesses ask for help and they select which business they are going to visit by picking the name out of a hat. They have many more businesses to recognize and will be doing this until the end of June.
All the businesses they have helped out can be seen on the 'Small Businesses the Heart of Cheyenne,WY' Facebook page.
