CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) What do you get with a mixture of ping pong balls, a two-liter bottle, and liquid nitrogen? The public can find out tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the free event hosted by The National Center for Atmospheric Research in Cheyenne. The explosion is set for around 1:50 p.m.
“Well the kids can expect a definite surprise and a really beautiful view of ping pong balls just covering the sky, raining down on them and a really loud explosion,” said Tim Barnes, Science Education Specialist.
Other events offered on Saturday, Aug. 17 are robotics classes, kids scientist and data collectors, forecasting severe weather, and a coding class. The National Center for Atmospheric Research is located at 8120 Veta Drive in Cheyenne, WY.
