CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) - The Wyoming State Canvassing Board will convene eight days after the General Election on Wednesday, November 14th. The Board will certify the election results and the candidates winning after Wyoming’s General Election. Members of the Board are: Governor Matt Mead; Secretary of State Edward Buchanan (chair); State Auditor Cynthia Cloud; and State Treasurer Mark Gordon.

Meanwhile, the Laramie County canvassing board has already certified its results for local elections - certifying the election to offices like Laramie County Sheriff and District Attorney.

The State Canvassing Board will meet to review and examine precinct-by-precinct results and the winning candidates for statewide races, legislative races, and judicial retention votes. Unofficial election results and turnout information for the General Election are available through the Secretary of State’s Office website.

The Secretary of State’s Office works closely with Wyoming’s 23 County Clerks in overseeing and administering Wyoming’s elections. Each county’s election results are first canvassed by bipartisan county canvassing boards at public meetings before being submitted to the Secretary of State’s Office by Friday, November 9th, 2018.

Members of the public and the media are invited to attend the State Canvassing Board meeting.
