“Speed Repping” with Wyoming officials

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) An event took place on Nov. 5 that is not your typical town hall meeting. City, county, and state officials gathered to answer questions in a “speed dating” setup. Attendees in Cheyenne had the opportunity to meet with the officials and spend four minutes discussing a topic with that representative.

“It’s always great to have the opportunity to meet with voters and listen to the citizens of Wyoming,” said Governor Mark Gordon.

One Cheyenne resident who says he will be running for mayor next fall was looking forward to meeting with Governor Gordon.

“To see what he has envisioned for Cheyenne as far as economic development goes, what sort of industries we should focus on, what sort of next steps in the economy we should be going for,” said James Johnson, Cheyenne resident who plans to run for mayor in 2020. “Then just coordinating with him because if we’re on the same page we should be able to work in tandem to accomplish these goals.”

The Laramie County Library says it hopes to host many more “Speed Repping” events.
