Snow Removal Safety Reminders

CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- There are a few things that you can do to make sure that you stay safe this winter when shoveling snow. Injuries can occur when using a snow shovel, and people in the U.S. have had amputations because they were trying to get a part of a snow machine to work.

Another important thing is to make sure you add your fuel to your snow machine prior to running it. The general manager at Menards, Brett Breberg, said, “Different parts of the machine will actually cool at different rates. So if you want to be 100 percent certain, you need to wait an extended period of time or just make sure you add the fuel before the machine has been running.”
