Cheyenne, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) In Cheyenne, we start off tonight with some weather coverage as road conditions are still icy and snow drifts are rather high throughout southeastern Wyoming.

Small Business Saturday is known as American shopping holiday held the Saturday after US Thanksgiving in between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

In area's of town, snow banks are piled up 6 plus feet high. from the plows. You see 36 mph winds are causing snow drifts that are keeping people from getting out their front doors.

Side roads are the most treacherous as cars get stuck. Leaving residents no choice but to down and snowy.

"It's just showing we are available and that we care about downtown and we want to keep it up," Downtown Cheyenne Business Owner David Hatch.

On the nationally known Small Business Saturday. Business's all over Cheyenne are still going about the day as normal as possible.

"Definitely there's less people out for good reason, we want them to stay home and safe, and hopefully they can remember to come shop with us during the rest of the holiday season, "Alexis Drake store owner Alexis Garrett said.

The goal of small business Saturday is to remind consumers that they play a key role in helping the small businesses in their community thrive.
