Members of the Zonta Club in Cheyenne and High School Students from the Z Club at Triumph High School Participated in a Silent Witness March, carrying silhouettes from the Wyoming State Supreme Court Building to the Laramie County Public Library.

Former President of the Zonta Club, Mary Walker, said, “This is the one I do for me. I do the march for me, it makes me stop and realize it. It’s just one of those things to start the holidays off remembering those who don’t have holidays anymore.”

The Governor and Mayor of Cheyenne each signed proclamations that declare the time between November 25th and December 10th a time for Activism Against Gender Violence in Wyoming. These dates were chosen because December 10th is Human Rights Day and November 25th is recognized as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
