Senior citizens write letters to military

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) On Nov. 8, just days before Veterans Day, a group of senior citizens came together to thank military members currently serving. For many penning the letters, they themselves were once serving overseas, receiving similar letters. SYNERGY HomeCare hosted the event and invited active-duty Air Force members to attend and meet with the seniors. The owner of SYNERGY says his business serves about 40 veterans a week so having an event to honor and thank the military hits close to home.

“We work with lots of vets and we’ve grown close with the people at the VA to take care of our local retired service people and we even have a lot of active duty servicepeople’s spouses who work for us so we have a real tie to the military here,” said Jeff Pederson, owner of SYNERGY HomeCare Cheyenne.
