Second escaped Wyoming inmate found in Dallas, Texas

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - (KNEP) - The search for the second escaped inmate from a Wyoming correctional facility is over.

The two escaped inmates stole a 2002 Ford 150 extended cab on Sunday (Source Wyoming Department of Corrections)

According to the Wyoming Department of Corrections, escaped inmate Robert Simpson was found in Dallas, Texas Tuesday. Details on how he was captured are not known at this time. The dog, shadow, who was taken from the Wyoming Honor Camp’s Project LOVED canine program, has not been found yet.

Simpson and Jason Green escaped the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp in Newcastle, Wyoming on September 22nd. Green was apprehended on a week later in Mesquite, Texas.

It remains unknown when the two will return to Wyoming and what additional charges they will face.
