CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) Cheyenne residents 55-years-old and above have submitted their artwork with hopes of winning a ribbon on Nov. 25. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is hosting its 21st annual Artfest Art Show and Sale event. The RSVP Outreach Coordinator says a new component this year is the “Community Choice Award.” Anyone who visits the Laramie County Library on Nov. 23 or Nov. 24 can vote for their favorite piece of art. There are more than 22 participating artists and 67 different art pieces. If you see a piece that catches your eye, good news, many of the submitted art pieces are for sale.

“All of these artists in the Artfest are 55 and older,” said Lynn Wright, RSVP Outreach Coordinator. “We also have photography by some folks in their 80’s and 90’s which is just incredible.”

For a chance to meet the artists and attend the award ceremony, head on over to the Laramie County Library on Nov. 25 between 6 and 7:30 for a reception. The art will be on display until Dec. 22 on the first and third floors of the library.
