An RV caught on fire in Cheyenne on June 28, 2019. Cheyenne Fire Rescue responded to the call at 1:42pm.
Lt. Brandon Rood, with Engine 3, said the fire was under control within a few minutes. "An RV next to a tree is going to start a fire regardless of what moisture you have, but you know it burned pretty quick so just be aware of the things you're doing. Be careful with fireworks. When you're grilling, anything like that. Be aware of your surroundings," said Rood.
The owner was apparently driving the vehicle when she noticed it was having engine issues. After trying to restart it she noticed smoke and pulled over before calling 911.
