Pine Bluffs football team has a younger team this season

PINE BLUFFS, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The Pine Bluffs football team has a couple seniors this season and then many freshmen and sophomores.

Head Coach Will Gray says "we do have alot of freshmen and sophomores but we knew that was coming the senior class has been pretty small even our junior class theres not a ton of boys in that class so we knew it was coming so you just prepare the best you can and get kids ready to play."

Last season, the Hornets fell in the semi-finals so the older guys on the team know what it takes to make it to the playoffs and they are showing the younger guys on the team that high school football means you have to work hard.

Senior Justus Golding says "it doesnt come easy its not easy to be out here you have to work hard and beat the guy next to you to be the guy on the field at the end of the day."

Senior Michael Shain says "alot of young kids are playing this year but their stepping up alot of them were in the weight room all summer to getting ready for this year."

The younger guys did get some work in during the summer and now its time to show what they got out on the field during practice before the season starts.

Senior Brian Steger says "I think it was a pretty good practice we had a lot of energy a lot of kids flying around making plays its just great seeing that again it gets my nerves going getting ready for the season."

The Pine Bluffs football teams first game of the season will be at home on August 30th hosting Glenrock. The game starts at 5:00p.m.
