CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) Photographers learned more about the craft at this year’s Wyoming Photo Fest. The 10th annual event, hosted by Wyoming Camera Outfitters, included workshops and a photo contest.

The event was open to beginners and seasoned veterans.

“This year we had more workshops and so on. We had more vendor participants. We had five or six large vendors. Canon and Tamron always show up. They’re our best. But Breakthrough was in town, and a few others, so we were real pleased with the vendor turnout at this event this year,” said Wyoming Camera Outfitters owner William Dinty Miller.

Wyoming Camera Outfitters partnered with Casper’s Art Walk and Casper Artists’ Guild for the four day event, which lasted from Thursday through Sunday.

The event was free, except photo contest submissions, which cost $5 per photo. Contestants could submit photos into four categories: Wildlife, Landscape, Portrait and Open Creative.

“The photo contest grows every year and this was our biggest year yet,” Miller said.

From the submissions, 100 finalists are chosen. Those photos are currently displayed at Art 321. A public vote will choose the winners.
