Open house, chili cook-off

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) The Laramie county fire chief s association partnered with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Hosting an open house and chili cook Saturday at the Cheyenne Ice and Event Center.

The Open House and Chili Cook-Off highlights Fire Prevention Week, October 6-12. This year’s Fire Prevention Week Theme is “Not Every Hero Wears A Cape: Plan and Practice Your Escape Plan," Cheyenne Fire Rescue, Bob Mason said.

Members of the community took part in activities for the entire family
Junior firefighter obstacle courses, side-by-side sprinkler demonstration, bouncy house, smokey bear, featured today's activities.

There’s two sides to every coin, to help raise money and awareness. The Chili Cook-Off served as the fund-raiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Cheyenne Fire believes this was a great opportunity for the community to meet first responders from all of Laramie County.
