CHEYENNE, Wyo.- The new CFD headquarters and events center building's target of completion is the end of May. Construction of this building started in August of 2018. The building is roughly 36,000 square feet and four stories.
The garden level will be a lounge. The main level will be used for the CFD committee to host their house sponsors during Frontier Days. It will also hold year-round events, during the offseason. On the rooftop, there will be a bar/viewing area for any of the shows and events.
"This was a much needed expansion for Cheyenne Frontier Days, and for the city of Cheyenne," General chairman of CFD, Jimmy Dean Siler said.
According to Siler, the interior is just about complete, and flooring has been added with light fixtures. Doors still need to be added, along with the décor.
"Looks like things will be done on time, and we're hoping that it stays that way," Siler said.
Over 3,000 people are volunteering for CFD.
